Our Matcha Story

From Japan to Your Cup

Our matcha comes from a small tea farm in Mie, Japan — a region deeply connected to Japanese tradition and culture.

We source our matcha directly from a small, family-run tea producer who has been carefully cultivating tea for generations.

Their tea is even offered to Ise Grand Shrine (Ise Jingu), one of the most sacred places in Japan.

Because we work closely with them, every step of the process is done with great care — from growing the tea leaves to slowly grinding them into matcha.

What makes this matcha special is not only its quality, but the heart behind it.

Every leaf is grown with patience.

Every step is done with pride.

And every cup carries the warmth of the people who made it.

By sourcing directly from a tea farmer, we are able to share matcha in its most authentic form — just as it is meant to be experienced.

We hope that through each cup, you can feel a sense of calm, connection, and appreciation for the craftsmanship behind it.

Founder's Heart

Matcha has always been more than just a drink to me.

Growing up in Japan, it was something that brought people together — a quiet moment, a sense of calm, and a connection to something deeper.

When I moved overseas and started building my business, I realised how easily these small but meaningful experiences can be lost in a fast-paced world.

That’s why I wanted to create something that brings this feeling back — even in the simplest form.

Our matcha is not just about quality, although that is very important to us.

It is about creating a moment.

A moment to slow down.

A moment to enjoy.

A moment to feel connected — to yourself, and to others.

Through Houbi Ichigo, and now through our matcha, I hope to share a piece of this culture with you.

Thank you for being part of our journey.

With love,

Miho
